Tempa & Naor

Tempa and Naor are a Singer-Songwriter couple that has been composing music together for 13 years. Based on the island of Maui in Hawaii, they have been creating a unique blend of soul and folk music that speaks to the heart. Their music draws from personal experiences, weaving powerful and honest lyrics that explore themes of transformation, love, loss, and release.

With their magnetic stage presence and heartfelt performances, Tempa & Naor captivate audiences performing as a duo or with a larger band. Their approach to music is centered around creating an emotional resonance with their listeners, taking them on a journey of self-discovery and healing.

Their song list includes a range of originals and eclectic covers, featuring a wide range of artists from Billie Holiday and Guns & Roses to John Prine and Kings of Leon. Each song is arranged with their unique musical style, infusing soul and folk elements into the mix.

In Decmeber 2023, Tempa and Naor launced their re-imagined band Tempa & the Tantrums.

Over the past several months they have been developing the sound of the revamped Tantrums and are excited to pave the way into a genre of music that they like to call Swamp Grooves and is it’s inspired by Soul, Blues, Rock, Jam, and Country. They’ve created a unique sound and have curated special songs that will get you movin’ and groovin’ to their Swamp Gooves.

The Tempa & the Tantrums band includes Tempa’s creative and life partner, Naor Nave, on guitar and ukulele. Good friend and highly talented, Micheal Ferenci on guitar, multi-instrumentalist Christopher Dacks on Bass, and Maui’s well-known and loved cajon player, Travis Rice rounds out the band with his unique and organic flavor.
