Maui’s upcountry brewery, Mahalo Aleworks, welcomes Xander Hitzig & Matt Del Olmo on December 14th from 6-8pm. These two have masssive musical history together and a brotherhood that keeps them performing together. Xander is almost solely self taught, play’s fiddle, guitar, and tenor banjo; using the music of his inspirations as his guide. And it is apparent to anyone who hears his songs today, the influence of John Hartford, Jimi Hendrix, Tom Waits, and John Prine all resound in a foot-tapping, heart awakening sound that draws crowds all over the United States. Matt’s music is heavily saturated in Americana he is a singer, songwriter, and multi instrumentalist.

Island Fresh Cafe welcomes Nā Hōkū Hanohano nominee Arlie-Avery Asiu on Sunday from 11:30am-1:30pm. The Cafe fetures brunch with live music. Asiu has recorded and released four instrumental ‘ukulele albums of his original music and is best known for incorporating genres from jazz to rock, and classical to Hawaiian.

Nā Keiki O Emalia offers free in-person peer grief support groups that provide grieving children and teens with a secure environment to express themselves, participate in enjoyable activities, engage in art projects, and share stories about grief.
