In addition to her shredding skills and stage prowess, Taimane is also a prolific songwriter and accomplished musical theatre producer, selling out Hawai‘i Theatre last August with her original show ‘Hawaiki -A Musical & Theatrical Odyssey’. It’s been five years since Taimane has played on Maui, and Mulligans On The Blue is honored to have her and her band for an unforgettable evening of world-class music in Wailea.

Pacific Whale Foundation in partnership with Hawai’i Land Trust (HILT) offers a volunteer day where participants will help restore habitat by removing invasive plants, planting native species, working in loʻi (taro) patches, and more.Important gear to bring: reusable water bottle, hat, long pants, close-toed shoes, sunscreen. Live Music with Multi-Instrumentalist Mark Johnstone at Mulligans On The Blue’s Music Box. Multi-instrumentalist Mark Johnstone makes his living hopping from gig to gig on the island of Maui. Best known for his keyboard work with the Grammy-nominated Mick Fleetwood Blues Band, he can also be found in a variety of settings as a soloist or sideman, displaying skills on guitar, harmonica, and vocals. While working and touring with Fleetwood he has found himself sharing the stage with many accomplished artists including Carlos Santana, John Mayall, John McVie, Christine McVie, Paul Rodgers, Rick Vito, Michael MacDonald, Alice Cooper, Steven Tyler, James Hetfield, Sammy Hagar, Questlove, and many others. As a jazz pianist on Maui, he has supported such visiting artists as Bobby Watson, Delfayo Marsalis, Donald Harrison, Javon Jackson, Joe Louis Walker, Corey Ledet, Chubby Carrier, Kenny Neal Jr, Eric McFadden, and the list goes on. On Sunday, May 19th at ProArts Playhouse four of Maui’s most talented songwriters share their stories and lives behind the music. This round will feature Rabbitt, Sierra Carrère, Mondokane, and J. Lyn (Oahu). The Maui Songwriter Showcase Rounds is hosted by Sara Jelley.

J.Lyn is a singer/songwriter based in Hawai’i and specializes in writing songs for various artists in numerous genres. Rabbitt is an eclectic soul sister that you won’t be able to resist. A soul siren, Rabbitt reveals herself through smart songwriting, bold mixing, and sexy cool swagger. Sierra Carrère has been singing & performing since the age of 9. Ten years as a New Yorker fostered her amazing journey of performance and collaboration. She is currently performing in her home on Maui, Hawai’i with her band, while continuing to write, record, and perform her solo material and collaborate with talented producers & artists.
