Aloha Growers Welcomes Tavana with a Mainland Tour

Aloha Growers is excited to announce the new partnership with Oahu’s multi-instrumentalist, Tavana. AG Presents has the honor of hosting Tavana at Mulligans On The Blue and is thrilled to be able to work with him on reaching larger audiences throughout the United States. With the launch of his new single ‘In the Water’, Tavana will embark on his first tour of California’s West Coast with stops in Napa, Half Moon Bay, Morro Bay, Santa Barbara, and San Diego.

Tavana is a multi-Nā Hōkū Hanohano (Hawaiian Grammy®) nominee and is currently featured on an in-flight video on Hawaiian Airlines, Henry Kapono’s “The Songs of C&K”, and he is also a featured “Playing for Change” artist.

Tavana is known for his Waikiki jam sessions and regularly jams with a who’s who of players in Hawaii, including Eddie Vedder who invited Tavana to sing ‘Hawaii 78’ with him at the Hawaii Theatre. Tavana has jammed with many musical greats, including Jack Johnson, Pat Simmons, Michael McDonald, Henry Kapono, G Love, Willie K, Ron and Thunderstorm Artis, and Leon Mobley (Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals). He also has been the supporting act for Alabama Shakes, Shakey Graves, Xavier Rudd, Jenny Lewis, Julian Marley, and Kaleo to name just a few.

Tavana’s new single, ‘In the Water’, was written for and is dedicated to everyone impacted by the fires in Lahaina. Tavana has precious memories of walking down Front St. in Lahaina Town with his father which was such a special place that seemed to be frozen in time. On the night of August 8th, 2023, he watched in horror as so many took refuge in the water just to survive. He saw the Aloha Spirit play out in real-time in the days that followed as the whole island chain came together to lend a helping hand. He worked on this song with his longtime friend and accomplished producer, Leslie Ludiazo. They wanted to make something that people could sing, remember, and honor the brave people of Maui. This song is more than just a song, it also serves as a conduit to rebuild. Proceeds from the single sales will go directly to those affected by the fire. Catch Tavana this summer in California!
