TAHOE CITY, NV (June 14, 2022) – Great Basin Brewing Company and Kanekoa, the famous “Hawaiian Jam Rock” band from Maui have partnered up this summer to release an island inspired beer for Kanekoa’s 2022 Morning Sun Summer Tour. Taking a cue from the lyrics of Kanekoa’s Hipnotized, “one more beer wish you were here,” Great Basin Brewing Co. merged their award-winning Whoop Ass Wit with one of Maui’s most abundant summer fruit, the mango. Paying homage to the Kanekoa song that inspired the collaboration, they have named the new concoction Kanekoa Hipnotized Mango Wit.

On Saturday, June 25th at Great Basin Brewing Co. and Kanekoa will officially launch the Kanekoa Hipnotized Mango Wit at the band’s live performance at Crystal Bay Club Casino Crown Room. On Sunday, June 26th from 12-3pm Kanekoa will be at the Great Basin Brewing Co. Sparks brewpub for an outdoor Luau meet and greet on their patio. In addition to meeting the band, fans will be able enjoy pints of the all-new beer along with Hawaiian inspired dishes will be featured that day as well as special Great Basin Kanekoa Hipnotized Mango Wit swag.
