Maui’s Magic Show
Mulligans On The Blue

Maui Magic Show

PC: Brenton Keith & His Bag O’Tricks

Maui’s Magic show is this Thursday with Brenton Keith & His Bag O’Tricks at Mulligans On The Blue. It’s the perfect family night out in South Maui! Ryliss Bod, had this to say on Google recently, “This is a hidden gem on a golf course! They offer local entertainment at a super low price. The food is good and the entertainment unbelievable.

Last night I went to the Magic Show and enjoyed myself so much I am returning next week. A year ago I went to listen to a female singer and was blown away. Mulligans only charges $10-30 but the shows would cost $75-$150 in the states. The venue is small and intimate making it all the better.”

Only $10 per person, with children 5 and under FREE! Dinner seating starts at 5pm, and the show begins at 6:30pm. Brenton is also known for his pre-show table-side magic.

“The Conversion of Ka’ahumanu”
ProArts Playhouse

"The Conversion of Ka'ahumanu" at ProArts Playhouse

PC: ProArts Playhouse

Wave of Harmony and ProArts Playhouse Present The Conversion of Kaʻahumanu by Victoria Nalani Kneubuhl which brings to life a defining moment in Hawaiʻi’s history. As Queen Kaʻahumanu becomes Kuhina Nui following the death of Kamehameha I, she is faced with profound political and spiritual decisions that will shape the future of the Hawaiian Kingdom.

As the kapu system falls and new influences arrive on Hawaiian shores, the play weaves together seemingly differing perspectives to explore what is gained, what is lost, and what it means to lead with courage, responsibility, and love through times of great change. Told through a dynamic all-female cast, this intimate production reflects on transformation not only in the past, but in our present moment – inviting us to consider how we care for one another, honor ʻike kūpuna, and move forward together with intention and aloha.

SUPPORT LAHAINA!

Mo’o and Koholā by Lori Abreu

Mo`o and Koholā: A Childrenʻs Book full of Aloha and Purpose!

Lori Abreu, born and raised on Maui, is passionate about serving the children and families of her island home. It was the outpouring of aloha and compassion she witnessed working alongside volunteers in our Maui community in the wake of the devastating wildfires that motivated her to realize her long-time dream of publishing her first children’s book, Mo`o and Koholā, which was introduced to our Maui community in January 2024. The proceeds from the sales of this story are donated to the ongoing rebuild of Lahaina. To date, Lori has made donations supporting the Lahaina community and its children through The Hawaii Community Foundation and Lahaina schools.

Her complete project is full of Lahaina and local flavor. Its pages highlight Lahaina Harbor, Front Street, Lahainaʻs Banyan Tree, and more. Mo`o and Koholā comes with three original songs and a website of resources for families and teachers. Lori is extremely thankful to her enthusiastic, talented team which helped bring her project to life. She feels blessed to have worked with Nicki Barsamian who beautifully illustrated her story and helped guide her through the self-publication process. The musicality of Kala`e Camarillo who performed her songs and made them so special was surely a treat for the music lover she is! Visit Loriʻs website at www.kumulori.com for more information on this project and a purchasing link.
